Dr. Baker received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  He completed his residency in general surgery at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in San Francisco, and completed a Cardiovascular fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Baker is board certified in General Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral. Dr. Baker has extensive experience in the entire spectrum of general surgery, served as a surgery department chair for over 20 years, and teaches as a clinical faculty professor at two medical schools as well as teaching for the Department of Defense.
