By becoming a surgeon, I knew I could have an immediate and positive impact on patients with serious problems. Being a doctor is the ultimate opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. Little did I know how much it would give back to me.

Patient Reviews

I saw Dr.Young for surgery that had been recommended for abdominal symptoms. After his evaluation, he advised me against the surgery and asked me to get additional tests which revealed my symptoms to be the result of a problem treatable with medications and dietary changes. I was extremely impressed with his approach which helped me avoid unnecessary surgery. I did, however, ask him to schedule me for surgery for hernias which I had put off for a long time. The surgery went very well. Being a physician myself, I was delighted to see an extremely competent professional who took the time to evaluate me and took his time to answer questions. In addition to his surgical skills, he possesses a very friendly bedside manner and is very easy to talk to. The medical profession could do with a lot more skilled and compassionate physicians like Dr.Young. I have no hesitation in recommending to my friends and family. Thank you, Dr.Young. I am glad that you are my surgeon.

Dr. Young embodies everything a great doctor should be...wonderful bedside manner, knowledgeable and caring. He also listened... many doctors talk over you. I had a prior not so good experience with another doctor who did not believe what I had. Dr. Young listened to me. One of the best!

Dr. Young is the best! Are you looking for a great surgeon? Dr Young. Are you looking for a surgeon with great bedside manner? Dr Young. Are you looking for for a surgeon who can explain things so you’ll understand? Dr Young. Do you want a doctor who shows that he cares? Dr. Young. Don’t you wish your surgeon had reliable and empathetic staff? Dr. Young. I’ve known and worked with him for 13 years. It was an easy decision when I needed a surgeon for myself; it could only be Dr. Young. Just seeing how he interacts with staff at the hospital, and knowing that his patients had great outcomes, I knew he was right for me. He will treat you with the same respect he treats EVERYONE he meets; with a smile and a heartfelt, “how have you been?” (And I mean every one.) You won’t be disappointed. Oh, and your surgery will go well too.

My experience with Dr. Young was incredible. When I started seeing him regarding a wound on my lower right leg, I was at the end of my rope. To the point of giving up completely. After working with Dr. Young and the way he took care of my wound, all I can say is that I am truly grateful for him. Dr. Young is a great doctor with a great deal of understanding. I would recommend him to whom ever is suffering from any type of wound. Dr. Young, YOU ROCK.

The best thing about this practice is that the phone is answered quickly, and I have never heard a recording! My pet peeve is when you call your doctor and need to make an appointment or ask a question, it is usually almost impossible to get an actual person on the phone or you get a recording saying that they will call you back. That practice is annoying and very frustrating. I have never had any problems calling West Coast Surgical, and the phone is always picked up by a knowledgeable person who is able to help me. Thank you for that!!

I had gallbladder surgery about a month ago and I am doing great!  Super-fast recovery….I can eat anything I want now without pain or discomfort!  I highly recommend Dr. Young.  He is a very talented surgeon and an expert at this minimally invasive, robotic operating techniques.
